Spark, The New Science of Exercise and the Brain by Dr. John Ratey, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard University is one of the most important new books on human learning  because its findings  tell us students’ learning can be significantly enhanced  through exercise. His research shows that exercise improves attention, focus, patience, motivation and mood. it also improves the brain’s executive functioning powers, creativity and brain health. This is a must read for higher education faculty.
